Автор: admin / Категория: ТюнингQ & A with Conrad and Lisa Brower, owners of K. C. Auto Repair at 8195 E. Manley Drive, Prescott Valley. The shop is open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Call 772-8433.
Q: What service do you provide in the community?
Conrad: “We provide complete auto and truck repair service with quality parts. We work on all types of foreign and domestic vehicles. Our mechanics are Automotive Service Excellence-certified with more than 90 years of experience combined, and are knowledgeable in all aspects of auto repair from vintage to today’s complex vehicles.
“From cars to heavy-duty trucks and fleet vehicles, we repair just about everything - even motor homes.”
Q: How did you get into this business?
Conrad: “We opened our shop in 1986 after we moved from farming in northwest Iowa during the farm depression. The single-bay business was for sale, and since I’d been repairing our farm vehicles and tractors from a very young age, it seemed like a good fit and good opportunity.”
Q: What is the key to your business longevity?
Lisa: “We treat our customers with honesty, respect and integrity. We would not be in this business without our customers, and we appreciate each and every one of them. We also have great mechanics with a lot of knowledge about vehicles.”
Q: What is the best business advice you’ve given and received?
Conrad: “I think we both agree that the answer to both of those is treat others as you would like to be treated.”
Q: What is something unique about you?
Conrad: “I think people would be surprised to know that I raced late-model stock cars for about 10 years in Iowa, South Dakota and Minnesota and recently had the privilege of racing go-karts with NASCAR driver Martin Truex Jr.”
Q: How many hours a week do you work?
Q: How are you handling the economy?
Conrad: “We’ve lowered our labor rate from last year. We look for the best price on parts without compromising the quality.”
Q: If you could take a week away, what would you do?
Conrad: “We’d both be really happy taking our fifth wheel camping in the mountains with our family, away from everything. And if it was hunting season, that would make it perfect.”
Q: What’s something unique about your business?
Conrad: “I think it’s the fact that we really do work on every type of vehicle. A customer recently told us that they can bring their vehicle to us and they don’t worry about it. That’s what we’re all about.”
Lisa: “We have three generations of families as customers.”
